Now it’s Personal … In the aftermath of the “cages, babies and the border” issue, some members of President Trump’s administration and staff were stared down at restaurants, asked to leave, and harassed at home. Both Sara Sanders (press secretary) and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielson were targeted at restaurants and in Nielson’s case, protesters went to her Townhouse and shouted on megaphones, waving her picture with the caption, “baby snatcher” and harassing her as she walked to her vehicle. Now Maxine
Walters is asking for more “in your face” harassing of any Trump official. Seems the same people who might believe that a baker should be compelled to make a gay wedding cake somehow are now perfectly fine with a restaurant refusing to serve a Team Trump member. Team Trump. How long will it be before someone that is working on Team Trump gets physically hurt? Do you think things are
escalating out of control?

Journos gone wild! Journalists gave away freebies and perks to the FBI, and the FBI took them! That’s one of the findings in the DOJ’s inspector General’s report. The idea of freebies given by journalists to FBI agents is bad enough but the FBI agents who took them gladly, is nauseating to most Americans. Both camps defend themselves saying it’s a few rogue agents and reporters doing this so this element
should not have been in the IG’s report. Do they have a point? If so, why does FBI Director Wrap tell Congress he’s clamping down on the entire Bureau? Should one bad apple (or two) spoil the whole bunch?

Interview: Jim “Bubba” Bay, Author – “Miracle on Hammertown Road – Winner of the 2017 Hollywood Book Festival, Spiritual Category Award. Topic: His near death experience led him to a different outlook on life, and on the issue of suicide. With recent suicides of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain, he has much to say about life and death.

The artificial intelligence technology of facial recognition . . .  benign or malignant? It certainly goes further than the “tagging” option in Facebook. Amazon, Google and Microsoft all sell face recognition software to DOD, ICE, and DHS in the name of national security. On the one hand, facial recognition can be used to stop a would-be terrorist at Customs, and can be used to invade your privacy, as well. If the government uses it to surveil a protest, you can be in their database, possibly flagged as a terrorist. What’s your take on this technology—does it mostly protect lives or destroy lives?
