Senator John McCain: America knows his days are numbered. He is suffering from a brain tumor and is at home, presumably with hospice and family. He has asked his son-in- law to “take care of Megan,” and has revealed that it was a mistake selecting Sara Palin as his VP running mate in 2008. He has already asked that VP Mike Pence attendhis funeral and not President Trump. John McCain is a
controversial figure who’s either accused of going ‘left’ or is praised for being bi-partisan. He prefers the description “being a maverick.” What do you think his legacy will really be? A war hero who sustained years of injuries and who became a senator-diplomat reaching across the aisle to Democrats to get things done or . . . a statesman?
Suing North Korea? Is now the time? Just when high-powered talks are being set between President Trump and Kim Jung un, the parents of Otto Warmbier (pron: Warm-beer) have decided to sue North Korea. The Warm biers have filed a lawsuit against the government of North Korea for brutally torturing their son, while he was there for 17 months. He wound up in a coma, and when he was released back to the US, died shortly afterwards. Still, is now the time to sue North Korea, while the US and South Korea are making great strides for peace with the north?
Interview: Dr. Eric Cole, Leading Expert in Cybersecurity, Former Senior Vice President at McAfee (the world’s leading computer security technology company), a Chief Scientist at Lockheed Martin, and was recruited to serve as the Technical Director for the CIA’s Internet Program Team. Cole sits on the executive advisory boards for multinational Fortune 500’s, was a member of the Commission on Cybersecurity under President Obama, and served as a personal cybersecurity consultant for Bill Gates. Topic: Data Sharing—which social media sites do it the most? How do we get them to stop?
Is there a teenager or adult in America who doesn’t know that a pepperoni pizza has a ton of fat and calories? And has that info ever stopped someone from eating pepperoni pizza? Yet, comedian Ron White says you’d be in the category of “you can’t fix stupid,” and the government find a need to make a law which costs restaurant owners millions of dollars to comply with, when consumers already know fatty and caloric it is anyway? And…the costs will ultimately be paid by the consumer, who the government wants to protect in the first place. Has there ever been a time when government was successful in getting a citizen to eat what the the state wants them to?
