ROTC: Should it stay or should it go? It can be argued that college students today appreciate the military more than college students did during the 60s and 70s. Today’s students have lived through 9-11 and subsequent conflicts–Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, NK. They also have lived through the nation’s new respect of the soldier in that they heard “Thank you for your service” in ways that were never said
before. The ROTC program has come back to many college campuses, including colleges which are considered very liberal. Still, some students want it banned. Does the ROTC curriculum belong on campus?
Is Starbucks racist? Is Starbucks racist? Should Starbucks’ restrooms be used only for paying customers? Can a person walk in, ask to use the restroom, be denied, then arrested for trespassing PRIOR to buying anything? Apparently so. There’s significant fallout from the incident in Pennsylvania when two black men walked into a Philly Starbucks, asked to used the restroom, were denied, were arrested when they didn’t’ leave, after being asked to leave. Now, 80000 stores will close for one day so that employees can get anti-discrimination training. How many minutes can I be in a Starbucks without buying anything?

If you took a tour to Cuba, would you economically be stimulating the economic well being of small businesses such as bed and breakfasts and restaurants, or would you be a “useful idiot” because the government is always involved at some level?
