If addicts get free needles or methadone treatment for their disease, why aren’t those suffering from diseases like cancer or diabetes also getting free medical help? That’s a charge many on social media make. They believe the government provides free medical help to addicts over patients with other diseases? But in reality, it’s private nonprofit agencies that account for most of the “free clinics”– around 73.8 percent. Plus, the government does provide free healthcare—still, even if it doesn’t provide top-line cancer care. Are some of the social media posters sounding off as “too self-righteous” believing their disease is not associated with personal destructive behavior the way many addicts’ diseases are? What’s your take?

Did President Trump steal your land? Some companies, environmental government agencies, and conservationists are screaming “theft” because of his recent decision to shrink Utah’s “Bears Ears” National Monument by 80%. Here are some facts to consider: Over 60% of the total acreage in four western states is owned by the federal government. Even in California, 45% of their state is federally owned. With all states, 28% (640 million acres) are owned and managed by federal agencies.  Last year, the west experienced the worst and most damaging forest fires ever experienced in our history, second only to the previous year.  So maybe, the same companies, agencies and environmentalists should be asking “what entity” is best equipped to handle our land heritage – private industry or the
federal government?

Interview: Marsha Dixey, Production Manager for Heritage Auctions (largest fine art and collectibles auction house founded in the US,
and the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer). Topic: When do you know if something from your attic is a collectible? When do you take “that old thing from Grandma” and make money on it?

Venezuelans are now killing zoo animals to feed their families. Severe malnutrition among children is rampant and many life-saving antibiotics do not exist for everyday citizens. So, why would nearly half of American millennials (44 percent) prefer living in a socialist society over a capitalist one? This statistic is from a report from the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC) which relied on
YouGov polling data. Will Socialism devour future generations of Americans? How can we change the “rainbow and unicorn” narrative that “socialism” is superior to capitalism?
