Baby Charlie Gard: This British baby boy suffers from mitrochondrial depletion syndrome. His parents have been given court directives (British Supreme Court and European Court of Human Rights) to send him to palliative care to die. This would be without food and water, akin to how Terry Schivo died. But the parents have an offer by the Pope and by President Trump to go either the Bambino Gesu Hospital in Rome, or somewhere in the United States for promising medical treatments. They’ve raised the money for their baby’s transportation and care. This points out the hold Single Payer Health System (British) and the Courts have over the life of Charlie, and the end of the road for the parents legal defense in Europe. Who’s right is it to treat Charlie? Should it be the government—because of single payer system in Britain and throughout Europe—which becomes the moral authority in this case, or the parents? Why is Charlie’s case argued as “quality” of life (meaning murdering him with dignity) vs. “sanctity” of life (meaning using all known medical treatments to save life)?

Watch those table scraps! A third of Americans pets are too FAT! Americans aren’t only making themselves fat; they’re also making their pets FAT. A Study by the Banfield Pet Hospital in Vancouver, WA says about 1/3 of dogs and cats in the US are overweight. This study is interesting in that it doesn’t necessarily reflect the owners’ tendencies, because the states where there were the lowest prevalence of overweight and obesity in pets are the states where we had the highest prevalence of overweight and obese people. What’s up with that? Why would we see this?

Interview: Brittany Hughes, Managing Editor, Media Research Center TV.  Topic: New proposal in Washington DC which would allow DC drivers’ licenses to show no gender specificity. Gender-neutrality would be an option. Washington DC would be Oregon as the first place to offer gender-neutral drivers’ licenses in US.

ObamaPhone fraud—Massive! Maybe you knew it would come to this…The FCC’s (Federal Communications Commission) Lifeline program is accused of massive fraud. Lifeline helps some poor Americans get cellular and broadband services, but there’s apparently a complete lack of oversight on this program, thus gouging the American taxpayer. Senator Claire McCaskill claims “everything that could go wrong is going wrong.” Just for starters, $1.2 M annually actually went to fictitious or deceased recipients.
