“America’s Newsroom” and the death of Roger Ailes.” Ailes founded Fox News with the idea of making news “fair and balanced” because 25 years ago, he perceived TV news tacking to the Left in its coverage. (BTW, he was correct.) Ailes birthed a cable news giant using beautiful and equally bright personalities, as presenters. RA was a giant among television executives for his numerous accomplishments, but left Fox under a cloud of sexual harassments accusations and lawsuits. His top star, Bill O’Reilly, was also dismissed for sexual harassment. This week O’Reilly wrote an “obit” on RA—that RA endured hatred and that it killed him. Do you agree?
Marijuana themed weddings are now known as Weedings. Though the federal government continues to label marijuana an illegal Schedule 1 drug, couples dreaming of a weed wedding or “weeding” are moving forward with their celebration, pot style. A weeding is for couples who love cannabis and often prefer it over champagne. They toast each other with a doobie, and often use pot imagery in their reception decorations. Should these types of weddings be done at all? Or maybe only in states that have approved recreational pot?

Bill Gates says that robots should be taxed – of course, he means owners or makers of robots should be taxed. His reasoning is that robots will delete millions of jobs and the revenue from robot taxes will pay for retraining the “victims” of automation. Other futurists say relax – technology has always created more jobs than it has replaced (i.e, the printing press). How do you think robots will affect future jobs?
