The Orlando shooting has been characterized by President Obama as a homegrown “terrorist act” but not an “Islamic terrorist act”. Yet, the FBI had the shooter on the Terror Watch list.  Does the administration have a naive interpretation of the enemy?

Universities like Harvard, Stanford, Yale and Texas A&M are considered “elite” universities and have profitably grown by investing their endowment money. Some lawmakers say that taxing these endowments and sharing that profit with less prestigious universities, will help solve the higher costs of education. Good idea or just more of the “leveling the playing ffield” strategy so popular today?
